Deep Sleep Records was established in 2005 and is home to Lil Duce, Pistol Cee, Redrum, and Yung Azz Cuttyboy. Though rooted in street-influenced lyrics Deep Sleep Records is quickly becoming a label that is characterized by the versatility it possesses in its artists.

Deep Sleep Records' first released album was Redrum's Debut solo "Voices in my Head" which was released in mid-October of 2005.  Being Deep Sleep Records’ horrorcore artist, Voices in my Head had different expectations from other albums released by other homeboy rappers. Though often overlooked due to its external appearance, Voices in my Head has become a fan-favorite for many listeners and has received special notice from sources and sites that often overlook homeboy rappers. The blend of gangster rap and Horrorcore tracks in Voices in my Head make it an album that appeals to a wide variety of people and remains true to its roots.

Following Voices in my Head was the next Deep Sleep Records release "Blockmade" by artists Lil Duce and Pistol Cee. This release is a release that epitomized the new flavor of gangster rap. Setting itself apart by not following a style, trend, or sound, Blockmade has been awaited by many fans that awaited a gangster rap album from a Westbay artist. Not looking to disappoint, Blockmade is headed to be a new standard for Bay Area gangster rap.

Deep Sleep Records continues to pursue the independent rap industry and continues to develop and grow as time goes on. Yung Azz Cuttyboy, the latest artist added to the Deep Sleep Records roster is scheduled to release an album with Lil Duce in the second half of 2006. The album titled “City Mob Status” will provide an even different sound from previous Deep Sleep Records release “Voices in my Head” and “Blockmade”. Providing a sound fitting to the likeness of mob music, City Mob Status will strike with a sound reminiscent to old school lyrics yet with a new flavor.

In the coming times Deep Sleep Records is committed to growing and releasing various albums. Already midway through a compilation “Signed to the game”, Deep Sleep Records also has other albums in the horizon. Redrum’s sophomore album “Demonology” is currently in the works and will feature a sounds and features that current horrorcore fans are more accustomed to. Yung Azz Cuttyboy will soon begin to work on his yet-to-be-titled solo debut which is scheduled to be released in the later part of 2006. Pistol Cee’s long-awaited album “Pistol’s still smoking” album is also currently in the works and work on “Blockmade 2” with Lil Duce will also begin in the very new future.

Along with a mixtape in the works, a compilation that is sure to surprise many fans, and various projects that have yet to be announced, Deep Sleep Records is sure to satisfy fans now and in the future.
